A separate paid service for families who want formal course documentation beyond the support normally provided through the co-op class.
What regular co-op instruction already includes
Regular co-op instruction, whether or not an individual class has an additional class fee, covers the teaching and support provided as part of the class itself.

What Transcript Support adds
Transcript Support provides ongoing record keeping, project evaluation, progress documentation, portfolio review, and preparation of a final course documentation packet as the student works through the course.
So what does the family actually receive?
Think of the final documentation packet as evidence a parent can use when building or supporting the student’s homeschool transcript. Instead of trying to reconstruct a year later what the student did in this course, the family has a formal description, objectives, project record, evaluations, progress notes, portfolio assessment, and documentation of course completion in one place.
The parent or homeschool administrator still decides how the course appears on the student’s homeschool transcript and how credit is awarded under the family’s homeschool program. Transcript Support gives that decision a stronger documentation base.
Who is Transcript Support for?
A student does not need Transcript Support simply to enjoy the class, learn graphic design, experiment with a new interest, or find out whether design is something they enjoy. Regular co-op instruction is enough for that.
Transcript Support is most useful when a family expects this course may become part of the student’s high-school academic record, portfolio, future education, or preparation for continued creative study or work. In that situation, keeping organized evidence as the year develops can be valuable later.
Why does the decision need to be made early?
Formal documentation is not something I can accurately recreate by looking at a few finished projects at the end of the year. When a family chooses Transcript Support, I know that I need to pay additional attention to that student’s course record from that point forward. I maintain the appropriate project records, evaluations, progress documentation, and portfolio evidence as the work happens.
What it does not include
- Unlimited private tutoring
- Weekly private critique outside class
- Daily instructor access
- Outside technology troubleshooting
- Unlimited project revisions
- A school-issued transcript, accreditation, state certification, or guaranteed academic credit
Why is this a separate fee?
The regular co-op class includes the instruction and classroom support described above. Transcript Support adds dedicated work outside our 50-minute class: maintaining records, documenting assignments and learning objectives, formally evaluating selected major work, preparing quarterly progress information, assessing the portfolio, meeting with the family, and assembling the final course documentation packet.
The fee covers the documentation work that happens throughout the course, not simply a document prepared at the end.

Transcript Support FAQ
Does my student need Transcript Support to take this class?
No. Transcript Support is completely optional. Students receive the regular instruction, demonstrations, projects, classroom feedback, and normal course guidance whether or not their family purchases Transcript Support.
Will Mrs. Escalante create my student’s homeschool transcript?
No. Your family remains responsible for the student’s homeschool transcript. I provide organized course documentation that can help you support the course entry and keep stronger records of what the student completed and demonstrated.
Why is there an additional fee?
The additional fee covers work that happens outside regular class instruction, including formal record keeping, selected project evaluations, progress documentation, portfolio assessment, family conferences, and preparation of the final documentation packet.
Can I wait until the end of the school year and decide then?
No. The value of Transcript Support comes from documenting the student’s work as the course develops. I need to know early enough that I am formally tracking the student so I can maintain the appropriate records throughout the year.
Who is most likely to benefit from Transcript Support?
Families who expect this course may support a high-school academic record, portfolio, future education, or continued study in graphic design, marketing, visual communication, business, or another creative direction are most likely to benefit from the additional documentation.
